Dana Lynn – Experience Designer
Design has always been part of my vocabulary spanning several industries ranging from fashion design to visual design and now interaction design. In my current role as Interaction Designer for Hewlett Packard I am part of a UX team that provides user-centered design direction to software developers who implement HP OneView, a leading infrastructure management solution. I also lead usability studies for HP OneView in collaboration with the Human Factors Usability Program Manager for the Enterprise Group. It's exciting to be involved in high tech especially for one of the world's largest technology companies.
Reflecting upon my career I have come to realize that I am a “maker.” People have used the things that I have made or have been involved in making. My design process has always been focused on function. It must be usable!
That said, my insatiable appetite for learning has lead me to an online Masters Degree program in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) through Iowa State University. I am interested in the integration of design principles into the software development lifecycle.
As a User Experience Designer I enjoy working every day like it's my first day on the job.
